Regulation and insurance

All HIPs are compiled in accordance with The Home Information Pack (no2) Regulations 2007 and any subsequent regulations that are prescribed by government. The energy assessment component of the HIP is covered by professional indemnity insurance of Ł1 million and public liability insurance of Ł2 million. The local authority searches are carried out on behalf of Chester Energy Assessors by companies who subscribe to the Search Code administered by the PCCB (Property Codes Compliance Board) and carry professional indemnity insurance as prescribed by the Code. Compilation of the HIP pack is covered by additional professional indemnity insurance of Ł250,000. Please contact us for details of any of these insurance policies.
